Externally, sound with chipping to the extremities and the odd mark to the boards. Loss to the head and tail of the spines. The odd small closed tear. Internally, generally firmly bound. Francis Marion Crawford was a notable American writer renowned for his romantic novels with their vivid characters, settings, and often fantastical plot lines. 'Casa Braccio' was Crawford's twenty-fifth novel first published in 1896. Like many of his other works, this novel is set in Italy and demonstrates Crawford intimate knowledge of local Italian history and culture. In a half crushed morocco signed Mudie binding. Externally generally smart, with slight rubbing to extremities and joints. Slight marking to boards. Binder's ink stamp to verso of front free-endpaper.
